The Intel 6xx series processors feature XD Bits technology for enhanced virus protection. These processors also include EM64T so they can process 64 bit instructions with the correct operating system. However, because of the lack of software and drivers featuring support for this feature, it is currently unclear what the compatibility of this feature will be with future software offerings. Lastly, the chip has Intel Enhanced Speed Step technology. Due to the high performance DTR design of the Sager NP9860, power management cannot be turned over to the ACPI/Speed Step function controls. Therefore, the Enhanced Speed Step function is not compatible with Sager NP9860
