Does anyone know if there are good drivers for Linux for the Sager 8790's Radeon 9700 Mobility card? The drivers from ATI, as of today, only cover the 9600 as far as I can tell. They load, but they seem to fail the box over to vesa which limits the laptop to 1440X900 or something close to this.
The Xfree86 drivers don't seem to help either, but I could be missing something, and Accelerated X doesn't support the newer Radeon cards either.
Also, has anyone gotten the built in 802.11G card (a Gigabyte wireless card it would seem) to work under Linux? I'm hoping that the Linuxant driverloader product will help in this area. I've had great success with their product loading windows in the past. Cusrious if anyone else has gotten it to work. |
