Hello all,
I am new to the forum and have recently purchased the 8890 from power notebooks a few days ago. I have been reading reviews of the 8890 in other forums and so far all reviews have said that it is an awesome machine. One issue i see being brought up from multiple people is that the keyboard flexs a lot in certain places of the keyboard. Sager has sent them a fix to it which requires them removing the keyboard and puttin some washers on it to build up the keyboard. Now none of these people have bought their computers from power notebooks who have come across the problem, and I was wondering a few things about that.

1) Has anyone else come across the same thing with the keyboard?
2) Does Power notebooks.com test the computer before shipping it or does it go straight from SAGER to the buyer?
3) Has anyone else heard about this issue besides me.

Hi Rich, I have the 8890 as well and I have no issues with my keyboard. I belive that one of the reasons shipping of the 8890 was delayed was so that the keboard could be replaces, so I think I am correct to assume these keyboards are issue free.

Sager has acknowledged there is a problem and assembled a small fix package that can be requested from Sager tech support.

All new NP8890s that are currently shipping have been retrofitted and there is no more issue with the keyboard.
